Been too long, my family & friends!!!

Well hello everybody! If anyone still visits my dull, empty blog. ha! I know, it's been FOREVER!!
The truth is, I haven't had much to write about, or anything interesting or exciting going on in my life lately. That sounds so sad and pathetic, huh?! Well, I'm just sitting here listening to Mariah Carey sing "O Holy Night" (man, she can belt it out, I love it) and I'm shedding a tear. I know, I'm a baby! I haven't been in the mood for Christmas this year at all, and finally the past day or two it's been hitting me. I've been praying and trying to get into the true spirit of what Christmas really means.

When Thanksgiving hit, I was just so depressed and feeling empty and sad. I see all my sisters and brothers with their spouses and kids. And I'm so blessed and happy that they're in my life. They fill a huge void in my heart. I love my nieces and nephews like they were my own! I went through a few weeks of the "feeling sorry for myself" funk - just because, that's what I want so badly and that's what I am looking incredibly forward to... finding my eternal companion and starting a family. Heck, I already have all my baby names picked out, and my wedding pretty much planned, brides maids and all. :) haha! But I do know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me. I know it will happen on his time, not mine. I have to have more hope and faith, and appreciate the things I DO have - Which is A LOT more than a lot of people do. I have so much to be grateful for. I'm young and healthy and I trust in Heavenly Father's plan for me. The Holiday's have just been kind of tough the past couple years, but I'm trying to focus on what really matters.

Anyway, I've made some goals. I just turned 30 (which is the new 20, right? YES!) and I'm determined to serve more and be a better daughter of God and a better person, in general. I love my family so much. I now have 15 nieces & nephews, with another one on the way. Lindsey is expecting her 3rd in June. Yay!! :)

We just had our Phelps Family Christmas Party. It was so fun. I can't believe how huge our family is growing. For all of you that were there - it was great to see you! Even though I didn't get to visit with each of you. I love you all more than you know!! My aunts and uncles and cousins have been like my immediate family, all my life. It's like the core of me. If that makes sense. I feel like I am a better person, and am the person I am today, and have the Testimony that I have and love of the Lord and the Gospel - BECAUSE of all of you, and my immediate family, of course. And, I have the greatest friends. True friends, you know who you all are... I love you all !!! I'm always here if anyone needs me. Anytime! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and hope you know that I'm thinking of each of you!

Love,
