Just thoughts -- sorry it's a long one :)

Well I haven't written anything for a while, so I thought it was about time! Christmas has come and gone and a new year is here! I had a great Christmas! and I hope you all did. I love to be with my family and wish that I could give them more. I really didn't care if I got one present and I never have. This year, for myself I wanted and needed to focus on Christ and how truly blessed I am! My testimony has never waivered, especially through the hard times. I can say that 2008 was the worst and most challenging year of my life. There were certain "friends" that aren't in my life now -- and that's my decision. Which hurts to have to cut someone you care so much about out of my life, but at the same time, he was not building me up and not a great influence at all. If I've learned anything in the last 29 years, (WOW I'm way too old..hehe) it's that who you choose to be friends with is the most important decision you can make! At least, that's what I think and know! I'd also got laid off and the job market hasn't been good to me the past couple of months, so it's been really tough.

Sorry, this blog isn't really anything fun or exciting. :) Just my thoughts and feelings. Anyway, I have been praying and fasting and being very active again in my singles ward. And praying that I get a good job asap. Last night I was reading through one my journals. (I have about 8 of them, I love them) :) And how I was so spiritual, and teaching Relief Society and loving my ward and my life -- and that was in 2006. Then, I scammed through and hadn't started writing again until a few months ago when I moved back home from Pleasant Grove and that certain friend is not in my life anymore. I was writing last night, filled with the spirit and hopeful again!!! And, I haven't had that for the past year and a half. I'm so mad at myself that I let myself fall away for a while, not attending church every Sunday, not attending the Temple regularly like I used to and not having the Spirit as strong as I want and need it to be! I have so much to be grateful for. I want a family of my own and years just seem to be floating by. It makes me very sad and hopeless sometimes that I'll never have that, and that's what I want the very most!

Anyway...I have to say that I do have hope and know and trust in Heavenly Father and his plan for me! I know he's blessing me and going through the challenges and tears I've gone through make me a stronger person and makes my Testimony so much stronger!! One thing I want to say is as I was studying my Scriptures last night and writing in my journal (which was around 6:30) I got a call from a job that I have been trying to get for the past month or so, and they offered me the position! I am so excited! It's a Lead Position and it's in the Auto/Glass industry and I'll be Lead of Sales. Which is right up my alley. Wierd, I know...but it is. :) So, last night was great and I am so grateful for all that I have. I know we all have our own challenges and trials. And I think I have no room to complain, compared to a lot of what other people are going through. But, I know things happen for a reason. Reading my Patriarchal Blessing -- I KNOW why I'm going through hard times. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG :)...I really am!!! Bottom line is that even though these aren't the only hard times I've been through, or will have to go through in the future, the only way for true happiness is by living the Gospel and trying every day to be like our Savior! That is my goal for 2009! And so far, it has been a wonderful year. All 13 days so far - hehe!

Okay, I think I'm done blabbing. I just want you all to know how much I love you. My family and extended family and my very close friends, you know who you are -- you mean more to me than you will ever know! I love you all so dearly and look up to your caring examples! I hope I am that for everyone as well. I can't wait to get my Temple Recommend signed tomorrow night and start going every week again!!! There is no better place to feel of that Spirit and get answers than at the Temple! I love it!!! For anyone who actually read all of this -- I'm sorry if it was way too long, which it was and I'm sorry there are no pictures. I need a new camera! My first paycheck, that's what I'm getting. :) hehe... I love you all!!!
